Intuitive Daily Tarot - It's Time to Reignite Your Passion & Desire, But It Won't Be Easy

Transformation, change and letting go are all things that most of us find difficult. It's scary to get outside of the realm in which you exist, because even the most toxic habit or situation can become it's own soft pillow of morbid comfort. Today, the tarot is pushing us to focus our attention on change.

Each day, my goal is to pull two cards: a tarot & an oracle. Some days I may use the old fashioned Lenormand fortune telling cards, however, today, I felt drawn to Kim Krans. With that being said, I pulled two cards: the Death card (wait before you freak out) and the Eros archetype card. I love the art work on these cards, as they tend to provide more depth in life path and spiritual readings. These two cards didn't disappoint. (See image below to reference image of reading.)

The death card is usually one that people see and immediately think the worst. However, the death card does not mean a literal death. Instead, it represents the ending of a cycle and is usually a message to let go of something that no longer serves you, so that you may transform. Keyword being transformation. Like I said before, transformation can be scary too, or at least the pathway to get there. Change and transformation take work. Letting go of something you've been clinging to like a lifeboat is also scary, even when that life boat is sinking. But I am here to tell you--life doesn't get better until you do the work. The way out is through, remember?

Then, we have the Eros archetype cards. I love these cards because they are based on the Jungian archetypes. Each card represents an energy or aspect of ourselves that we will embody or experience at least once in our lives.  Eros is the Greek God of passion, desire, erotosism and creative power. While that may sound exciting- this card and the archetype itself is actually about the root of desire, not desire itself.

Take a moment to consider what you are longing for right now. What awakens the flame of love and intimacy? What drives you creatively? What blocks you from passion or intimacy? At the end of the day, we all long for connection. Unfortunately, life can be difficult and we can get lost along the way, which creates a feeling of dissatisfaction and of disenchantment. We may sit and wonder what our purpose even is? Why can we not manifest our heart's desire?

Connection, to people, to art, to food and to music is what takes us out of ourselves and allows us to merge with another. It is in these moments that we are able to experience our will to live, in a way that is unlike anything else. We need passion and desire in order to survive, and not only to survive, to thrive. It's likely that you have a desire beneath the surface to connect with something outside of yourself in a meaningful way, yet there is something or someone blocking you.

When we refuse to let go of certain behaviors, relationships, or situations- our ability to ignite our desires fades and we lose site of ourselves. Think of addiction, or a toxic relationship, or even a toxic job.

Today, our higher power (whatever that means for you) urges us to take note of the blocks standing in our way so we can finally feel and experience life meaningfully. You may already have desires in the back of your mind, or ideas for where you want to be in your life, yet find time and time again that you remain stuck. Now is the time to assess why you are stuck- and finally release the blockage in your way. It won't be easy. It will be hard. Honestly, even being honest with ourselves about the fact that a cycle must come to an end can be hard. Yet, in the back of your mind, you know what is holding you back and what you want from this life.

Take time today, to sit down in a quiet space. Light a candle. Lay down, sit down or lay back- whatever position you find comfort and light a candle. Begin by focusing on your breath and close your eyes. Stow away the cell phone (I swear it won't kill you.)  Breathe in for a count of four, hold for four and release for four seconds. Do this for a minute or so to calm your mind. Now think about what your life is missing. What ignites your inner flame? What makes you jump for joy- until you realize you "cannot" have it? Well, I am here to tell you---you can have a more joyful life. But it's time to come clean to yourself on what is no longer serving you. Once you have realized your goal- your passion, your desire that is rooted in creativity or passion- now ask yourself: What is blocking me?

It will come to you in moments- because it's likely that you already know it's time to let go, but are holding back hoping it will get better on its own. Life is short and it's an adventure. Tomorrow isn't promised. So today, make it a priority to finally let go and make way for a more meaningful and purpose driven life. Transformation and endings do not have to be scary. Much like everything else----nothing lasts forever. That sounds bad, but hear me out- that also means that the things that are bringing you down and holding you back- they will end too. It isn't just good things that come to an end. Hard times do as well.

Your purpose and passion are waiting----what is holding you back?
